Doug and I have been married for 15 years!! Wow!!
Here are some of the reasons why I love him...* He laughs at my jokes even when they aren't funny.* He doesn't complain that I steal all the covers.* He knows what I'm talking about when I start talking about a subject out of the blue.* He thinks I'm beautiful in sweats and a t-shirt.* He listens to me complain.* He doesn't complain that I throw my clothes on the floor or that I leave my hangers in the closet.* He reads books to his kids and even uses funny voices occasionally.* He gets up when I wake him up even though he'd like to sleep until noon.* He always eats what I make for dinner even when I think it's not edible.* He helps me with the daycare kids and doesn't even complain.* He always kisses me goodbye when he leaves even if I don't remember it.* He still lets me pick out movies even though I've picked out some terrible ones.* He works hard to support his family.* He stays up late to spend time with me even though he has to get up early.* He loves spending time with his family.* He puts up with me when I'm grumpy.* He reads the scriptures with me and prays with me every night.* He lets us paint his toenails :).* He texts me everyday when he is at work.* He always has a shoulder for me to cry on.* He is who he is, nothing less and nothing more.* He is my best friend, my everything. Thanks you Doug for the best 15 years of my life. We've had our ups and our downs, but through it all you've been there and our love for each other has prevailed.I LOVE YOU THE MOSTEST!!!
Last night Ella had the treat for Family Home Evening. She wanted to go get ice cream. Doug talked her into going to Leatherby's. I wish I would have taken my camera. The banana split that Doug and Erika got to split was HUGE. It was big enough to feed our whole family. It was a lot of fun even if it was cold!!
Well, not the last Family Game Night but the one before Lizzy chose to play Junior Trivial Pursuit. One of the questions was something about one of the five oceans. Doug said there aren't five oceans there are only four. So after the game (which I won because Mommy knows EVERYTHING, well everything except the answer to that question about the ocean) Lizzy googled it. Come to find out that in the year 2000 they added an ocean called the Southern Ocean. So we all learned something new that day.
Ella had the stomach flu on Thursday last week and then again on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. She was feeling better by Tuesday but she didn't go to school because she didn't have much energy. It's so hard to watch your children have the flu, especially when they have nothing left in their stomach and they just dry heave. Hopefully no one else ends up getting it.
Here she is trying to sleep while the camera is flashing in her face (whoops forgot to turn the flash off).
And here is Erika wishing her sister wasn't sick so she could play with her.
The other day Doug's dad came over so he could take Doug down to Nephi to get a big rock from his Grandma's house. He was trying to tell Ella and Erika that he was the boss, but they weren't buying it. After he left Ella asked me if Grandpa was older than Daddy. I said yes. Then she asked me if he was older than me. I again said yes. Then she said I guess he is the boss because he's older than you guys. She then asked me how old he was and in the same breath she said "Is he 100?" I tried hard not to laugh. She said "You know Mommy, people can live to be 100." I told her yes they can.
So Doug called me from another guy's cell phone from work this morning. He said he wouldn't be able to text me the rest of the day because his cell phone fell in the toilet and got flushed. LOL!!! Emily and I decided it was just because he wanted a new cell phone. When he got home from work he told me that on the last break all the toilets were clogged!!! Gee I wonder how that happened?!? So I guess it's off to buy him a new cell phone tonight.
It is so windy outside today. I really don't like the wind. It sort of creeps me out. I think it was from watching Watcher In The Woods when I was a kid. That movie still creeps me out. I know it's weird, but I feel like the wind is "alive" and it knows things about me. I remember one time when I was dating Doug and I was over at his house. It was really windy outside and it was time for me to go home, but I didn't want to go home because going out in the wind is worse than just hearing it blow when you are inside (and being dark outside makes it ten times worse!) Lol!!!! I'm strange, I know.
I finally figured out how to join the blogging world. Now I just need to figure out how to make it look cool. Lol.
