Lizzy Rules the World!!

Erika chose to play Risk for our Family Game Night.

Lizzy ended up winning. Okay, she didn't really rule the world since we ran out of time, but she did own the most countries.
We decided we wanted Frostys so I went off to Wendy's to get them. Doug surprised me and snapped my picture when I walked in the door.

We're off to see the concert...

Lizzy had her school choir concert on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. I snapped this picture of Emily, Ella and Erika skipping in to the school. I thought it was so cute.
Here is a picture of Lizzy in her dress. I wish I was as skinny as she is!!

And here are some of her at her concert. They aren't the greatest pictures because I'm still trying to figure out how to use my camera.

Lizzy was in the Choraliers and Ensemble. The Choraliers (the all girl choir) sang Lift Thine Eyes, Climbing Over Rocky Mountain, and Old Joe Clark. The Ensemble sange And the Father Will Dance, The Colors of My Life, and Gypsy Rover. I think they did a great job. I think Lizzy really enjoys singing and I am very proud of her.

Ella is the master bowler

Doug had the day off on Saturday so after we cleaned the house we took a vote on what fun activity we wanted to do. Bowling won. I forgot my camera so there are no pictures. But here are the final scores:

Ella-103
Erika-100
Beverly-99
Doug-96
Lizzy-96
Emily-70

Ella is having fun telling everyone she beat her whole family in bowling, especially her mom and dad.

Blankets Anyone?

Well we had our Friday Family game night and Ella choose to play EyeCatcher.
Doug decided to try and make it harder for him so he did it with his eyes closed. Needless to say, he didn't do very good.

Here is Ella keeping score

And here is Erika watching the timer.
And since that game didn't take very long, they decided they wanted to make a tent in the front room and sleep there.

And with that many blankets there is bound to be some static.

The kids had fun, but my back didn't really like sleeping on the floor. Oh the things we will do for our kids.

Erika wants it to stop snowing

The other night it was Erika's turn to say the family prayer. She wanted me to help her so I was telling her what things we were thankful for and I said we're thankful for the snow we received. We continued on with the prayer and at the end she likes to add her own little things and she said "And please don't make it snow anymore so Daddy can put the tramp up." She's been saying that in every prayer she's said for the past week or so, but to no avail. The snow still keeps coming. The kids are ready for spring and they want their trampoline up!! But alas, I guess Doug's desire to not put it up yet keeps the snow coming.

Happy Anniversary Doug!!

Doug and I have been married for 15 years!! Wow!!

Here are some of the reasons why I love him...

* He laughs at my jokes even when they aren't funny.
* He doesn't complain that I steal all the covers.
* He knows what I'm talking about when I start talking about a subject out of the blue.
* He thinks I'm beautiful in sweats and a t-shirt.
* He listens to me complain.
* He doesn't complain that I throw my clothes on the floor or that I leave my hangers in the closet.
* He reads books to his kids and even uses funny voices occasionally.
* He gets up when I wake him up even though he'd like to sleep until noon.
* He always eats what I make for dinner even when I think it's not edible.
* He helps me with the daycare kids and doesn't even complain.
* He always kisses me goodbye when he leaves even if I don't remember it.
* He still lets me pick out movies even though I've picked out some terrible ones.
* He works hard to support his family.
* He stays up late to spend time with me even though he has to get up early.
* He loves spending time with his family.
* He puts up with me when I'm grumpy.
* He reads the scriptures with me and prays with me every night.
* He lets us paint his toenails :).
* He texts me everyday when he is at work.
* He always has a shoulder for me to cry on.
* He is who he is, nothing less and nothing more.
* He is my best friend, my everything.

Thanks you Doug for the best 15 years of my life. We've had our ups and our downs, but through it all you've been there and our love for each other has prevailed.

I LOVE YOU THE MOSTEST!!!

Utah Grizzly Game

Last night Lizzy's school choir got to sing the National Anthem at the Utah Grizzlies hockey game. I was kind of disappointed that we couldn't see Lizzy singing. I thought she would be out on the ice where we could see her singing. Oh well, they sounded great even if we couldn't see them.
Check out some of the pictures from our night out.
Wake up Alan it's almost over.
Riley didn't like the obnoxious loud buzzer they use when they score. I don't blame you Riley, it was LOUD!

I missed getting a picture of Alan hugging Grizby.
And the Grizzlies won!!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Lizzy. It means a lot to me to have a family that is so loving and supportive.
