Happy Father's Day

Sunday Lizzy, Emily and I went over to Lisa's house to have breakfast with my dad. Doug, Ella and Erika were too tired and didn't want to get up. Scott cooked a great breakfast. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera and we weren't able to stay long since we had to go to church.

Then that night we had a barbecue with Doug's family at Russell and Rahjaun's house. This time I remembered my camera.

Let me explain our hair. After church Ella and Erika were pretending to do my hair and they got out the markers and were pretending to color my hair. Then Doug decided to get out the color hairspray we have and really color my hair. After that Emily, Ella and Erika all wanted their hair done. Then they wanted to do my hair and Doug's hair too.

More fun at the cabin

Doug ended up having the Saturday before Father's Day off. The girls and I had so much fun when we went to Jim's cabin that we decided to take Doug up there too. We got there Friday night a little after 7:00. The girls immediately wanted to go for rides. Here is a picture of one of the deer we saw.
We had a campfire on Friday night and roasted marshmallows and had smores.

Saturday we went fishing but we didn't stay long since it was raining and cold. Ella really wanted to go fishing with her dad. The rest of the girls got into to it to, but none of them wanted to touch a worm lol. We didn't catch anything, but it was fun trying. I'll think we'll try again, but next time I hope we find a better spot where we can all sit and enjoy it.

The girls had a blast riding the three wheeler with their dad. Doug is braver than I am. He let them drive it themselves (with him on the back of course). I guess I only got a picture of Ella and Emily. Ella loves riding the three wheeler. When they were on the straight paths Doug would tell her to go ahead and she'd really give it gas and she said "That's what I'm talking about!" Crazy girl!

Then Saturday before dinner Doug and I went for a three wheeler ride while the girls stayed with Grandma and Jim. It was a lot of fun even though I'm not very good at riding. We came across this baby fawn that was just learning how to walk and we didn't see it's mom anywhere. We cut the engines on the three wheelers and tried to coast by but it kept walking further away from where we found it. Finally it ran in the bushes and we coasted by.
Thanks Mom and Jim for letting us come up to the cabin. We had a great time. Maybe the next time we come it won't rain.

Softball

Doug plays coed softball on Monday and Wednesday nights. We haven't been able to make it to any of the Wednesday night games because they've all been too late for us. We finally made it to a Monday night game. Here are a few pictures from it.

Swimming Lessons

Here are a few pictures of Emily, Ella and Erika at their swimming lessons. They love swimming lessons. Thanks to Aunt Lisa and Uncle Scott who gave them swimming lessons for their birthdays.
