Oquirhh Mountain Temple Open House

Saturday we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It is so beautiful. You can't take pictures inside the temple, but we did get a few outside the temple. Ella's favorite room was the Celestial Room and I think Ella and Erika were fascinated by the mirrors in the Sealing Room.

Here is one I snapped of Doug, Ella and Phil in the parking lot.
Here is a picture of my family in front of the temple. Someday I hope that we can go there and be sealed as a family. And I hope and pray that I can raise my daughters so that they will have a desire to get married in the temple.

Lizzy's Choir Party

Well I'm kind of behind on my blogging so I'm trying to catch up. Lizzy had a choir party/barbecue on Friday, May 29th.
Here are a few pictures from it.
I thought this was a good picture of Doug. Too bad his eyes are closed.

Here is a picture of the choir members that came to the barbecue.

They gave out awards and here is a picture of Lizzy's. She was awarded for the Best Behaved Class Member. Too bad she isn't like that at home lol.
And they also had a blast decorating Miss Potts (their choir teacher) car.

Happy Birthday Emily!

June 7, 2009
Ten years ago today we were blessed with our second daughter Emily Sue Warner.
I remember very well how she gave us a such a scare. Her heart rate kept dropping every time I would have a contraction and they almost had to take her C Section. When she was born she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her body and she was kind of a grayish color. She was only 5 pounds 7 ounces. I had to send Doug to the store to get preemie diapers because our other diapers were too big for her. Although she is still small for her age, she has a really big heart!

Here are a few pictures of her opening her presents from us.

And here a some pictures of her birthday party on Saturday with her friends. She chose to paint for her party. I think they had fun.
Her friends Sammy and Whitney. Her friends Caitlin and Sammy.
Happy Birthday Emily. We love you!!!

Memorial Day

Last year for Memorial Day we went down to Filmore with Doug's family. This year, he traded shifts with a guy at work without realizing that it was Memorial Day. I didn't feel like taking the kids down to Filmore without him so we didn't go this year. My mom and Jim invited us to have dinner at their cabin so the girls and I decided to go. Here is a couple of pictures of them in the car. They took them while I was getting gas. It was only a little over an hour drive so it wasn't too bad. We got up there right about lunch time so we all had sandwiches. Then my mom took us on ride in their golf cart and we saw this. They all got turns riding on the three wheelers. Ella and Erika LOVED it. Ella kept telling Jim FASTER FASTER!!! Ella also told my mom that she wanted to live with them so they wouldn't be lonely. I think she just wanted to ride the three wheeler all the time. I didn't get a picture of Lizzy on the three wheeler :(. But I did get a picture of her driving the golf cart. She FINALLY got to drive :). A few of us decided to take the golf cart out for a drive. It was Lizzy driving and me in the front. Emily, Kayden and Erika were riding in the back. A couple of minutes after we started driving it started to rain a little bit. I told Lizzy to drive a little bit faster so we wouldn't be soaking wet when we got back. It started to rain a little bit harder so Kayden climbed up front where it was covered. I told Lizzy to go faster. It started raining harder and then it started hailing really hard. I got in the back and stood up so I was sort of protecting Erika and Emily. Then Lizzy took a corner and the golf cart kind of slid off the road since the roads were getting kind of muddy. I instructed her how to get back on the road and she over corrected a little bit and slid some more. Meanwhile Erika decided to get up front. I asked Lizzy if she wanted me to drive the rest of the way back since by now it was really hard to see. She said yes, so I got up front and Emily and Lizzy were braving it in the back. We drove back as fast as we could, but needless to say we were all pretty wet by the time we got back. Of course, a couple of minutes after we got back it stopped raining. Here is a picture of what the hail looked like on the deck after we got back. Ella and Emily and Erika and I came across this when we went on a golf cart drive. We actually had to stop and let it cross the road and then it still stood there half in the road eating. The girls were scared so we waited to see if it would wander off, but it didn't so we started going and it scared it off into the trees. Here are some random pictures. And of course, every time I get the camera out Ella wants to take a self portrait. So here is another self portrait of Ella. Thanks Mom and Jim. We had a great time. The girls want to come up again, but this time they said they want to spend the night and they want to take their dad too.
